I haven't done project thread in a while as writing is not my favourite past time but people seem to enjoy them so here it goes ITXPlus is a Mini-ITX sized Macintosh Plus logicboard clone that can be be assembled to a working state with no original parts and is intended for new build systems in...
New blog post! This home-built #bluescsi external SCSI emulator has been a trusty friend for fixing many old Macs. With a new case, and a bit of software cleanup, it's now even more useful! #retrocomputing #68kmac

Yet another take on setting up Apple Internet Router on a 68k Mac to join the GlobalTalk network. This on a Quadra 605 (LC 475 / Performa 475 / Performa 476) running System 7.5.5 with the IP Tunnel going through the DaynaPort Ethernet emulation in BlueSCSIv2

Attached: 1 video progress for today: • imported https://opengameart.org/content/monochrome-rpg by https://kenney.nl/ • recreated the sample village for that tileset in Tiled https://www.mapeditor.org/ • hand-imported the tile data (but real import is coming soon) • wrote tile drawing code (that doesn't clip properly yet) • stole part of `w4on`'s workaround for #wasm4 music timing issues (make notes longer) https://github.com/JerwuQu/w4on/blob/82ff95f/w4on.c#L60-L63 • made Allie blonder you can see parts of the sample village behind each character! you can also see the clipping issues, and that i need a thick diagonal line rasterizer soon
as you can see, this badly needs double buffering and dirty rect updates. rendering the full thing every time hurts with processors this slow.

this synthesis action locked up the whole system somehow. do Duos even have a programmer's interrupt switch? is a Mac too far gone to use the ROM debugger once the mouse cursor stops working? how much of my precious RAM would MacsBug eat? these and other questions will not be answered today.
