What a fantastic film of the only black women's US battalion who served overseas in World War 11.They did such a brilliantly important job of sorting and delivering mail for soldiers and families at home

We just resubscribed to #Netflix to watch #TheSixTripleEight #6888thBattalion, and what a movie! Well worth it. Smiles, tears, and a massive dose of respect.

Now, to cram a few more movies in before we let the subscription lapse ... again.

I just watched Netflix's 'The Six Triple Eight.' Incredible story and very well told. Highly recommended.

A must-read book. Professor Brenda L. Moore’s book on the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battallion (an all-African-American female unit in WWII) which I just posted information about in my previous post, is available. #blackwomen #black #usa #Mastodon #BlackMastodon #6888thBattalion
The only all-African-American female regiment WAC (Women’s Army Corps) stationed overseas in WWII. The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, formed in March 1945, sifted 17 million pieces of mail in 3 months in the UK. Major Charity Adams inspects part of the regiment in February 1945 before it was named the 6888th Battalion. #6888thBattalion #BlackWomen #BlackMastodon #Mastodon
