@gareth I loved them all. Unfortunately, none of them were able to sustain very long runs in mass market 1960s television.
By January 1967, both Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and Thunderbirds were gone, Time Tunnel and Star Trek were the cool new shows.
Syndicated reruns weren’t yet a thing, nor were VCRs. So, when these Sci-Fi shows we loved disappeared, all we could do was look for the next new thing and hope that, unlike most, it lasted more than a season.
It’s easy for those of us, who now have access to the entire catalogue of sci-fi television, to forget that the original episodes of these shows were originally only shown twice in a season and then gone entirely.

The 1967-68 UK TV series Man in a Suitcase takes the basic ITC action-adventure formula and adds a hardboiled flavour, real toughness, grittiness, plus seedy downmarket glamour. And more than a hint of film noir. The best of all the ITC series.

Peter Leslie’s The Cornish Pixie Affair, from 1967, the fifth original novel based on the TV spy series The Girl from UNCLE starts with a murder in a circus (a setting that is used extremely well). Statuettes of pixies play a role. Enjoyable.

The Sixth Finger, a 1963 episode of The Outer Limits. A scientist tries to speed up human evolution. He creates a super-intelligent man, who sadly has a few issues. A bold and interesting episode.

Three 1964 episodes of my favourite US anthology series, The Outer Limits. The Invisible Enemy has sand sharks on Mars. It's OK. Wolf 359 is excellent -scientists create a miniature world. I, Robot is quite good - a robot is tried for murder.

The Green Hornet (1966-67) is a TV series which I personally much prefer to its contemporary Batman. Closer in feel to the original 40s serials. Hardboiled crime stories with some gadgets to add spice and just a touch of outrageous adventure.

2️⃣ It’s not a terribly original sitcom plot, but the treatment of it here is splendid.
3️⃣ Lydia isn’t neglected. Indeed, her scenes are probably the funniest.
📺 My 266th TV episode of 2023. Averaging 2h16m of TV, per day.
