My crap antenna is getting incredibly good signal reports on #60m. RF is magic.

The #60m FT8 being restricted to a 1kHz TX right at the bottom of the FT8 band is really frustrating. I was doing fine with 10W, and then suddenly too much noise and no one can hear me, but I can't move around enough to get rid of them... You end up with about 500Hz usable space in reality.

#arrl is very worried about the #60M band proposal in front of the #fcc.

I wonder if the idea of 100W PEP on the 5 legacy channels can be retained for public safety interoperability but the 9W ERP limit for the rest of the band to keep the #amateurradio rabble by the noise floor of primary users is feasible?
