For some time now I've been loosely involved with #FiveParsecsfromHome / #5PfH, which describes itself as #scifi #solo #adventure ( #tabletop ) #wargaming, I notice a lot of nice #ttrpg and #storytelling #game elements.
I really like the approach. The realisation (with friends) is still lacking.
Kris HyreTook a break from printing terrain to find a suitable miniature for my crew's next recruit, a psychic Swift.
#5PFH Swift are described as diminutive winged reptilian humanoids, so an #OPR Lust Fury with a hand blade and a pistol added will stand in.
Lots of printing to go, and have to make some scatter like computer terminals, desks, alien eggs, etc., but had to take a minute to play with the toy soldiers.
Getting started printing some sci-fi open lock corridors I picked up awhile back with a subscription I have. These should work nicely for #5ParsecsFromHome as well as be usable for that #ViolentDark starter set that has been sitting in my to-do pile for a long time.
Hmm, now that I have the rules for some salvage runs through some "legally-distinct space hulks", I need to print out a bunch of sci-fi corridors to make the insides of some ships.
I mean, you can do crash sites and such for outdoor terrain, but you have to have some cramped indoor exploration too.
Finally remembered and got around to getting the Freelancer's Handbook for 5 Parsecs after seeing an episode of Me, Myself, and Die using it. The dynamic combat looks like an improvement over the existing system, and I look forward to adding a psychic member of the crew. The Salvage missions however, look really, really fun to put into use. My crew of OPR Jackals will enjoy scavenging space junk.
