In the wake of my brother’s passing 11 years ago, I inherited his 2001 #BMW #540i. Beautiful machine, a joy to ride, but an absolute bitch to maintain.

This past week it developed a confluence of issues: valve / timing cover gaskets, timing chain, timing chain guides, secondary air pump, etc. Net repair $9k 😳

After 10 years, it’s finally time to let it go. I’m looking for a buyer (long shot given its condition), or a local auto shop to donate it to.
