A crash course learning how #FusionPBX works later and I can safely say this is a very good option if wanting to move away from #3CX
Lots more fiddly, much more advanced, but once you get it you'll have learned a lot more about how #PBX's work and be confident with it.
I don't even need the apparently fake SBC (on an rPi) 3CX say I should have - phones are working without it, secured and operational behind NAT . admittedly, I do have IPv6 one some phones that support it so NAT traversal isn't an issue anyway, but still, one more box I can unplug.
It seems #3CX are going to be hiking their prices again - I forgave this last time as it's fair they get money for the development of the product, but now the price hike is for apparent AI integration.
I do not want, nor need, #AI in my phone system.
Definitely not happy - especially considering I run 3CX on infrastructure I operate and have control of. I should have the choice not to have AI enabled, and I should not be paying for it if I'm not using it.
Time to seriously sort out an alternative - any recommendations would be welcome!
