#Day256 of #365HappyDays : a visit from The Boy and his parents, lunch at #Wagamama and then a couple of hours of #SoftPlay that got my heart pumping harder than any of my walks this past week.
“Grandma, come with me!” he said, offering me his hand as he approached the climbing wall. And up we went, dicky ticker be damned. Because this is my boy, and I’d do anything for him.
The photo captures him concentrating as he drew an indiscernible picture on his placemat.
#Day255 of #365HappyDays : this is actually from yesterday, but I fell asleep. My reason to be #happy is actually coming home. I’ve had a wonderful few days in The Lakes, but it’s always lovely to be #home again. Particularly as #PastMe had the fantastic #MumPlan to clean the house properly before leaving. #win

#Day254 of #365HappyDays : walked 5 miles, found 3 geocaches, including one that had this as a backdrop.
I tried three times (twice yesterday) to post this through #Ivory and three times it’s eaten my post. So here I am on the website, old school stylee.
This was #Day253 of #365HappyDays : I never cease to be amazed at how many more #stars are visible when the #sky is truly dark.

#Day252 of #365HappyDays : a gentle walk through #Wasdale rather than a #hike up Scafell Pike, but a beautiful view nonetheless.
It’s good to be out, and quiet.
#Day251 of #365HappyDays : I’ve had to walk a mile in the rain and the dark to get phone signal to post this, but this is home for the week and I couldn’t be happier.
To add: Hearing a toddler swear will never not be funny. We’ve all seen the “It’s a fucking goat” video, right?
I neither condone nor encourage it, but it’s still funny AF.
Also, it’s especially funny as I KNOW for certain that he hasn’t picked this up from me. This is pure dad’s doing. Whilst I do swear, and often, I am super careful with words around him, and “Oh goodness” is now a staple in my speech instead of swears.

1. Learning that this guy - photo - apart from saying “Cheese!” to the camera, has apparently learned a new phrase, used entirely in context. Wanted to watched Sing on #Netflix, Netflix was logged out, he responded “For fuck’s sake.” I should be horrified, but laughed long and hard.
2. Packed and loaded the car #today ahead of trip tomorrow.
3. Spent the evening catching up with Hannah & Mick. It’s been way too long.
#Day249 of #365HappyDays : finding this guy, Benedict, who has been AWOL since Thursday. I was beginning to worry, until I received a text from my neighbour #today reading “Just to let you know, Ben is locked in your shed shouting at us in our garden.”
And he was.
They’d heard him over the fence.
(I wish I could say this is the first time this has happened. 🤦🏻♀️)
