OK @HippieScubaSteve and @theresmiling, from our 3 lists I have put together a spreadsheet (I love spreadsheets πŸ˜€) and we have 35 individual questions to sift through...

Before we do so, I'll wait on the thread to see if anyone else wants to make any more suggestions!

Someone needs to start a #30DayStarTrekChallenge again. I miss those!

(And I feel like we could all do with the distraction)

Day 8 - Favorite Federation Enemy:

I have to admit that I like the Romulans because they are just so absolutely over-the-top dramatic in everything they do. I love how they constantly betray their allies at every opportunity and then get upset when they themselves are betrayed. I love their utterly nonsensically huge shoulder pads.

Day 7 - Favorite TNG Episode:

Deja Q--it's not even close! I have watched this episode at least 50 times, and I am not exaggerating. It's a ridiculous episode and I love it with all of my heart. There are so many points where my heart just SMILES. I especially love Data getting to experience the feeling of laughter.

Day 6 - Happiest Event:

I'm not sure how to answer this one... I think the moments that make ST special for me are the ones where the crew are friends, and that always makes me very happy. Otherwise, a time where someone we thought wouldn't make it pulls through and everything is all right.

Day 5 - Saddest Event:

I'm going to list two of the episodes that made me CRY. I'm talking sobbing, tears steaming down my face, can't catch my breath crying:

- The Offspring "I will feel it for both of us."
- The Visitor (I've only seen this episode once and cried so hard I gave myself a headache)

I also cried during Tears of the Prophets, and Kor's sacrifice in Once More Into the Breach.

Day 4 - Best Captain:

Since this doesn't say "favorite" captain, I think I have to go with Picard. I think this is largely influenced by TNG being my first Trek coupled with Sir Patrick Stewart's masterful performance. He's just a lovely human being.

Day 3 - Favorite Starship:

I don't know if there's an answer to this other than "The Enterprise," our lovely silver lady. I like the style of the 1701-D refit.

I have to give a shout-out to the Gallileo-type shuttle, and the USS Defiant, and also all the runabouts that the DS9 crew took out for joyrides πŸ˜‚

Day 2 - Favorite Federation Race:

I think they meant "species," so we'll go with that.

I really like the Klingons. TNG was my first Trek when I was little, and I was fascinated by the concept of a warrior culture. As I got older I learned that Worf was NOT a reliable narrator for what was and wasn't part of Klingon culture, and there's a lot more nuance to their beliefs. I found the portrayals of Klingons on DS9 to be so compelling.
