The Brew SiteOne of the most award-winning cideries in Oregon is #2TownsCiderhouse, with many awards earned across a wide selection of its ciders, and recently it brought home more metal from the LA Invitational Wine & Spirits Challenge. In particular, its new year-round Guava Get Down snagged three medals, and several of the Cosmic Crisp ciders earned silver medals as did two of the Craftwell Cocktails line.

#2TownsCiderhouse rounded out its seasonal #cider series for 2025 with Sled Zeppelin, a winter (Christmas) limited cider made with cranberries and cinnamon. It’s definitely a festive cider, with 6.9% ABV, and don’t think you should only enjoy this for the holidays (despite the Heavy Metal Santa on the label) — it’s one to drink through the winter as availability allows.

There’s a new holiday #cider out from #2TownsCiderhouse this season, bringing cranberries and cinnamon to the party for a rock music-infused specialty—Sled Zeppelin. As expected, the news release is full of Led Zeppelin references and puns, and I expect the cider will hold up to the hype.

More thoughts: 2 Towns Hollow Jack - Out of the can, Hollow Jack, as you would expected produces little in the way of naturally carbonate head, resting on a pool of clear gold. Giving it a few frothy spins for photography, we see nothing for lacing inside the glass.
Swirling and sniffing, as expected, we smell notes of freshly made coffee, including some slight tea. floral notes, followed the hallmark pumpkin/baking spice notes of allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Admittedly, the coffee is front and center, with everything else showing up as you grow accustomed to the aroma.
Sipping, we get more of those baking spices, along with the Ethiopian coffee, and apples. Overall, Hollow Jack has a medium mouthfeel, some alcoholic warmth, and a slight tannic quality and a finish that is not overly coffee’esque.

Snapped this pic a few days ago during a quick break from raking leaves — and wow, this 15th Anniversary release from @2townsciderhouse was the perfect reward! 🌟
Fast forward to today: it’s raining, the rake’s retired for now, and we’re definitely not complaining. ☔️🍎 Just kicking back and cracking open another bottle of this fun, celebratory cider instead.

And how does it taste? Well ...
2 Towns 15th Anniversary: Out of the bottle, poured at angle to avoid any leftover yeast from clouding up the cider, 15th Anniversary temporarily creates a hefty amount of shaving-cream white head, resting on a clear pool of gold, almost blushed gold. Receding, after our vigorous swirl, there remains a wreath of lacing inside the glass.
Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of slight oxidation, bubblegum, and pale straw.
Sipping, those same notes are there along with pear, some spice, and citrus, finishing with definite sharpness.
Overall, 15th Anniversary has a medium to strong mouthfeel, noticeable bits of alcoholic warmth, and a lingering sweet character.
