A very delayed update, but: '2 sekunden daten' was shown at Luminafest 2024 at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden — projected across the entire facade of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Media, and Computer Science.

I should have posted this three weeks ago, but alas...: So, two weeks ago, '2 sekunden daten' was on exhibition at the "Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft für Medienwissenschaft" (the annual convention of the German Society for Media Studies), hosted by the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg. The exhibition space was rather special, an old Brewery from 1718. This was fun!

‘2 sekunden daten’ is an installation about what we call 'artificial intelligence’, but it is not about machines reasoning. It is about them absorbing and encoding the breadth of human culture, with all its bias, but also its beauty.

The installation is work in progress and planned as an immersive, large-scale 3 x 4k video projection. It will be hopefully on show in summer 2021.
