@vk2bea In IARU R1, the band 1240 to 1300 MHz is assigned to amateurs ("the 23 cm band"). I have never used this band. How much interference do hams receive from Galileo, Beidu or QZSS satellites?

I tried out the new tripod idea for the antenna mast. It needs a guy line or two, which should be sorted for next time.
It was very cold and windy, so I didn't take many pictures at all. 9 QSOs on 23cms though, which was very good!
In time, when we get warmer and more pleasant weather, I fully intend on making videos of my experiences using the Icom IC-905 for SOTA and other portable operations. #AmateurRadio #HamRadio #IC905 #23CM #Microwave
Is the IC-905 an ideal SOTA radio? No. But you can absolutely do a #SOTA activation with one, and I'll do it again. Many times. This was the summit of Penycloddiau today (GW/NW-054).
