Just stumbled across a preview for #MastersOfAlbion, the new #godgame from Peter #Molyneux and #22Cans. It mixes #citybuilder, #towerdefense and god game mechanics, very much in the spirit of #BlackAndWhite and #Fable. Currently in #EarlyAccess on #Steam.
#BlackAndWhite was one of my favourite games ever, and even though Molyneux does not always fully deliver on his promises, he remains one of the most important and visionary people in #gamedesign. That alone makes this worth watching.
The preview is pretty honest though: #AI is dumb, lightning powers miss constantly, towers barely shoot, and the interface is clunky.
Promising but clearly unfinished. Watching from a distance for now.

Masters of Albion, the new game from Peter Molyneux's 22cans, draws from Fable, Black & White, and Populous, but it's worth reading to see if it's any good.
I found this interview so incredibly inspiring.
Obviously I'm not a games developer, but in some ways I think game dev is emblematic is the fusion between art and craft that represents the soul of computing :)
This gent started out building games for his Commodore 64 and then went on to work for industry greats like Bullfrog, Lionhead and Media Molecule.
His thoughts on AI, "organic intelligence" and the creative spark are super interesting.
