21 Jump Street 1x07 "Gotta Finish the Riff" shout by RikerDonegal

**Blair Underwood, Robert Picardo.** Big changes in this script. It’s like a mid-season soft reboot. In the opening minutes, we learn that Jenko (Frederic Forrest) was killed by a drunk driver between episodes, and the Jump Street program was discontinued. A month later, a new captain (Steven Williams) gets it up and running again, but with changes. Previously, the squad room was always empty except for our guys. Now, it’s transformed into a crowded space exactly like the precincts we see on other cop shows. And I have no idea who these new people are. Yet. This week’s story is a hostage siege, with Hanson and Hoffs held at gunpoint along with a school principal, his staff, and the student body. It’s a very good episode, with some dark and tense moments. _Spring 1987: Fox aired 21 Jump Street in the first hour of Sunday prime time before Married with Children.
