We start a new campaign in Dust mode (less pulpy) set in 1970s London. We help out someone who gets us work and the whole thing gets progressively worse and the heat higher as we piss off the Flying Squad and then, despite our best tradecraft, come up against something that's just not right. A cracking start to the game, paced to perfection. Really looking forward to the next one.

There's a crisis in the realm but with the help of the seers, the group are finding ways to deal with the problem. The PCs felt a bit more in control in my first run of this partly because, I think, the way the omens played out. They gave a better structure to the game. In this one it seems harder to make sense of things.

In the second session of the second playtest, we play it cautiously and then find out what happens when magic doesn't work. We get away with it by the seat of our pants. There was a lot of tension in the session. We all took quite a lot of damage but managed to survive, just. It felt very much like I've been told the books feel so I think Arc Dream are doing a good job with this.

The next playtest, with magic rules. These are pretty intense. I've not read the books but they have a very definite feel that's different from other games. And in our session, my PCs magic very much saves the day when we get ambushed.

A hexcrawl setting based on Tim Molloy's wonderfully trippy art. I'm running session 2 of the pub con as our motley crew of aliens, dreamers and an orc-kin help Mr Unpronounceable on a pilgrimage to expiate his sins. It's all great bizarre fun.

Actually a world generation tool that we play on the fly with Troika. Creating the setting us we explore a vast underground dim landscape. Pretty atmospheric and creepy, it's a first great session for another in person pub con at a new venue. I get to play a robot who's a dab hand a maths, astrology and cooking.

Archie and Cassie track a purloined piece of the dead god's brain to a cult in Hazuth-Kleg but return to Ulthar to consult with Atal the Wise. It seems that the cult might be a move to redirect the attention of the dead god's mate and so a daring heist is undertaken, along with clever use of magic, to retrieve the brain case.

It's all been the prelude to a monumental fight at the hellhole, wyverns and all. The clever use of a hold portal prevents our enemies from doing their best and we prevail. Mr Slim shows his true hand a bit too much an will have to be dealt with.
