This genre-bending album is full of amazing and danceable (poly-)rhythms. The music is steeped in Ugandan and East-African music tradition but Faizal Mostrixx manages to establish his own world of sound: never standing still, ever mutating, always surprising.

Working on compiling a list of my top 20 favorite albums that have been or will be released in 2023. At the end of the year I'll choose an 'album of the year' from this list. (I can already tell this will be an INSANELY difficult choice).

The process of going through all the 2023 albums to eliminate ones I'm *not* going to include has been a long one, too. I have 34 more to go through. So many great albums have already been released this year, and there's so many more to come!
