This is a thing Iโ€™ve done for a while on Facebook, and it seems to fit better here, so I should give the backstory.

I had a friend, Steve Davies aka Spartacus Mills, self-styled โ€˜Britainโ€™s laziest #surrealistโ€™ (there was stiff competition). We never met irl, but he was a scabrous, provocative, delightful and hilarious presence online.

Sparty would post a list of the books heโ€™d read each year. This hadnโ€™t occurred to me, but watching him do it made it looked kind of fun. Plus, there was always the interest in crossover in our reading, and thinking about books Iโ€™d read he might like. So I started to keep a list one year, looking forward to sharing it with him.

And Sparty died. It was a terrible, stupid accident while he was out walking with his beloved dog, and even though we never met I still feel that ache of his absence. So I did a list that year, and decided to carry on doing it.

I have 1 book left to read to hit my goal of 75 for 2022. I have the day off, a 10 hour audio book (that I listen to at 2.5x speed), and a lot if mundane tasks to do.

I can do this! ๐Ÿ˜„

2023 Reading Challenge, I am ready for yah! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

That's all I got through in #2022books and I am honestly amazed that I even got through that much. Knowledge and reading/listening is the key to everything.
So #2022books was the year I ever so slightly surpassed (18) my #2021books books read (16).
.
Glad I continued to put them into my Book Journal because otherwise, I would have forgotten them all by now! My handwriting, as my mother would say, leaves a lot to be desired.

Some physical books I bought and read this year! And some of them are gifts from friends ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

Ayers and King are no longer alone on my Sapphic shelf ๐Ÿฅฐ
