TL;DR: a lot of people stopped commuting after the pandemic, and this hit different travel modes VERY differently. As of 2022 car commutes have surpassed 2016 levels, while #transit and #ActiveTravel are still well below.
Also, interesting changes in national identity, racial and ethnic demographics, and language use.
