Crisis? i dunno, author and maintainer burn out or just plain ol' "my priorities have changed" has been at the centre since forever. it's not new. it is true that the _impact_ of this is scaling up in concert with open source usage

This paycheck #1p_for_floss goes to #greenshot, https://getgreenshot.org/. A light weight and reliable Windows and Mac screenshot program that does 80% of what I usually need. It's been my goto for several years now.

There's a few things I'd tweak if I had the programming chops and/or time, but hey, thats true of Windows and MS Office and everything else too.

Software, like coffee, is too artificially cheap, and we need to make it more expensive. I have one suggestion for how to do that.
