2023 movie viewings, #6. It's Neil Breen Week around here at my place, and tonight I finally watched movie #5 of his five-film (soon to be six) remarkable run as "the best terrible movie producer of our generation." As I mentioned last time, with 2016's Pass Thru, the problem with trying to enjoy Breen as a bad filmmaker is that he's basically made the same exact movie five times in a row (by which I mean they're so incomprehensible that they all appear to be the same movie, despite none of them having anything recognizing a plot), so what's funny

2023 movie viewings, #5. It's Neil Breen Week around here at my place, and tonight I watched movie #4 of his five-film (soon to be six) remarkable run as "the best terrible movie producer of our generation." A ★ review of Fateful Findings (2013)
2023 movie viewings, #4. It's Neil Breen Week around here at my place, and today I watched movie #3 of his five-film (soon to be six) remarkable run as "the best terrible movie producer of our generation." This one is particularly well-known as Breen's "breakout" film into mainstream awareness (this was his first movie to actually show in theaters, as well as in the midnight programming of such respectable events as the Seattle International Film Festival), largely because of Breen riding the coattails of the massive amounts of publicity Tommy Wiseau's similar The Room was getting in these same years.
