Trip Thru Hell by the C.A. Quintet, released on Candy Floss in 1969

"The C.A. Quintet, from Minnesota, USA, was a psychedelic rock band active in the late 1960s. They did not gain national attention during their heyday (all their records were locally produced in Minneapolis and none had national distribution). Their album sold out the first day it was in the stores but their record company printed no more copies as they were miss-managed and under-capitalized. Their only LP released during the band's existence, Trip Thru Hell, sold fewer than 1000 copies and was virtually unheard of outside of their home town. Despite its minuscule initial distribution, the record slowly gained worldwide popularity over the next twenty years among fans, collectors and musicians. - Wikipedia

A Black Man's Soul is an instrumental album by musician Ike Turner & the Kings of Rhythm. It was released on Pompeii Records in 1969.

A Black Man's Soul contains songs composed by Ike Turner with contributions from fellow St. Louis musician Oliver Sain. The album was recorded during Turner's free time while he was touring with the Ike & Tina Turner Revue.

The album received positive reviews. Bill E. Burk wrote for the Memphis Press-Scimitar (May 23, 1969):

Ike Turner and The Kings of Rhythm show again why they pack the house at Club Paradise each time they come to Memphis. The group really digs out with an uptempo soul, the better selections being "Funky Mule," "Thinking Black," "Black Beauty," which you must wonder whether it is dedicated to Ike's wife, Tina, and Rufus Thomas' all-time soulful favorite, "Philly Dog."

Working! by Bobby Jameson, released in GRT in 1969

Apart from the opening track, Palo Alto, this is a bit of a sad virtual end to Bobby Jameson's recording career. He had much better material, but the record company insisted that he release these covers

Wheatfield Soul is the fourth studio album by the Canadian rock band the Guess Who, released in March 1969. Their first RCA Records release, the album is also notable for being the first full-length Guess Who album to feature Burton Cummings exclusively on lead vocals, without original lead singer Chad Allan. Featuring the US top 10 hit "These Eyes", it marked the beginning of the band's international success.

Wheatfield Soul was not a commercial success. "These Eyes" was released as a single. Wheatfield Soul is the group's first psychedelic LP that also focuses on British-influenced pop and rock - Wikipedia

You Never Know Who Your Friends Are is the second solo album by American multi-instrumentalist Al Kooper, issued in 1969 on Columbia Records.

Kooper wasted no time recording this album, coming just seven months after his debut release. It is a continuation of sorts of his debut; the album contains another eclectic mix of rock, rhythm and blues, jazz, pop, and blues, though without the psychedelics that had somewhat permeated through I Stand Alone. Utilizing a large group of musicians under the direction of Charlie Calello, known collectively as "The Al Kooper Big Band", Kooper also strayed away from the heavy string orchestrations of his debut. - Wikipedia

That one LP, Battersea Power Station, is a neglected gem of Brit psych turning into prog, starting with the groovy song Circus Days, which is reminiscent of later Small Face.

I Stand Alone is the debut album by the American singer-songwriter Al Kooper, issued in 1969 on Columbia Records.

After ten years of session playing, collaborations and playing in other bands, Kooper released his first solo album in February, 1969. It is an eclectic mix of country, soul, blues, and rock with a dose of psychedelia mixed throughout...

Unlike the Super Session album, however, the spotlight is on Kooper alone and Kooper's alternate utilization of orchestras and professional Nashville studio musicians; the tracks are far more focused, all within two and five minutes. "Camille" is lifted from "Overture to Le Domino Noire" by French composer Daniel Auber.

Most tracks are bridged with sound effects taken from albums issued by Elektra Records. The Overture begins with a collage of sound effects also taken from those albums. - Wikipedia

Candy Coated Goodees by the Goodees released on Hip in 1969

The Goodees (Kay Evans, Sandra Jackson and Judy Williams) were an American pop music girl group who enjoyed brief popularity in the late 1960s. Formed in Memphis, Tennessee, the group is best known for the minor hit "Condition Red", a teen melodrama that bore a striking resemblance to the Shangri-Las hit "Leader of the Pack".

The three girls became friends while attending Memphis' Messick High School. Interested in music, they started singing at school assemblies and local events. Their “break” came in 1967 when they won a local talent contest. The winning prize included an audition with Stax Records. Stax signed the trio to its newly formed HIP subsidiary.

The band's song, "Condition Red", was their only hit, peaking at #46 on the Billboard charts. - Wikipedia
