JKNDespite govt efforts building barricades to stop some of the madness, Malaysians still don't know what on/off-ramps are.
"What a strange looking junction! Let me stop in the middle of this road and have a panic attack while I figure out what to do".
Within 10mins and 100 meters:
- Someone stops in the middle of a T-junction to play with their phone
- Another stops in the middle of a highway to change lanes
- Another reverses blindly across the road right into traffic (me)
And the most sickening thing of all:
Most, if not all, of Malaysian society considers me a treacherous criminal for thinking there's anything wrong with this.
The sheer insanity of #Malaysians crippling traffic and civic functions out of abject stupidity and selfishness. Every single day.
Not only will they do nothing about it, but most go to great lengths to defend it.
The situation is so absurd that anyone outside wouldn't believe it.
If you're too numb/distracted to notice the device in your car that exists purely to attract your attention...
You have no right to be driving.
"It is not enough that I be selfish for personal gain. I must also hurt others."
The problem here isn't just the 10% of drivers who behave this way; it's also the other 90% who make sure it stays this way.
Remember kids, in #Malaysia it is a crime to think there's anything wrong with parking in the middle of roads/junctions.
Maybe it's a #Damansara thing, but Malaysians seem deathly allergic to parking legally and not being an asshole.
After spending millions fencing up the road and building a pedestrian bridge, the local govt tore it all down and instead put up signs warning drivers of the "right" of school kids to run across highways on a regular basis.
These are the "rights" that Malaysians will fight tooth and nail to protect, no matter the cost.
