for the third time in a row the battery of my #CAT #S60 mobile phone blows up.

First two replacements were within the warranty/responsibility of my former employer.

Now that I inherited the phone which I occasionally use as my #FLIR camera, I want to replace the battery with a solid #18650cell . Will be fun adopting the connector though.

Battery peeps - can anyone help me identify this 18650 battery? I believe it to be an LG, based on the markings, and I’ve read that normally the gray LG batteries are 2200mAh

How do I decipher the markings? Is there a way to tell if it’s protected or not protected? Is there a date of manufacture encoded, a capacity etc...
