There’s a scene in this that’s basically the same as a scene in The Forest of the Dead. The Doctor is showing Ruby the view of an alien world from a satellite. She has a moment of awe and then a moment of realization that they are far in the future and everyone she knows is dead.

The Doctor waves his magic wand and her cell phone now lets her call her mom. Everything is great and now adventure!
