RealZeroNow that I've actually seen the "101 Dalmatians" (cartoon) movie, the idea that, in the TV series, Cruella is not only Anita's former schoolmate, but her boss, seems reall crazy.
Like...yes, working for a person that's a greedy ass, sure, many of us have to do that.
But working, and faking a friendly face, towards someone that broke into your home, stole your pets, and endangered your family...she's...really, really tolerant. ๐๐
Or maybe THAT was the deal for Cruella not suing them for, strictly seen, stealing her "legitimately" bought 84 puppies. ๐๐

I finally watched Disney's 1961s "One Hundred and One Dalmatians", and thus finally know the origin of the two TV shows based on it that I like! ๐
It was a nice movie, I like it.
Slower pacing, as I'm used to in old movies, but very "cozy" in that. Good, dynamic music, the British voice actors were really nice and while the story was quite simple and not surprising, it did carry much warmth in family and friends, I like that.
Also, quite darker than the TV shows it inspired.
And the facial expressions or Roger, as well as Pongo and Perdita, are really nice.
Animals with emotional, strong facial expressions. Crazy, at that time Disney still knew they could do this, contrary to the Lion King remake. ๐
So, yeah, simply, but heartwarming.

Finally, after years of growing up with and watching the TV shows based on it, 101 Dalmatians and 101 Dalmatian Street, I finally managed to watch where it started! And what can I say? I like the movie. Of course, as with many movies of the time, parts of the pacing are slower than one is used today, like the first showing of the "barking chain", or the whole beginning. But seriously, I think it felt kinda nice and relaxing, before all the action starts! The movie is really well-done and cute. Sure, there are no crazy surprises or twists,
After finishing the first season, my opinion about Cadpig is split.
I love her cuteness, positivity and smiles, but she is also REALLY sarcastic and, like surprisingly many situations in the show, can be quite opportunistic.
Ah well, I'll file it under "I can fix her", or what the young online folks say!
I really need to watch the 101 Dalmatians movie soon, considering I like both TV cartoons it spawned.
I watched some of the old (1997) "101 Dalmatians" series which I, among man other shows, grew up with.
I still like all these Saturday morning shows, including this one.
More typical crazy cartoon humor than the successor "101 Dalmatian Street".
And it seems I never actually watched the first episode of it.
Ah well, I still really like Cadpig, she's cute.
Although she can also be very mean-spirited and sarcastic, compared to cute Dalmatian Street's lovely Da Vinci.
But hey, luckily, no need to choose. ๐

Some time ago I talked about how "101 Dalmatian Street", after first not seeming relevant to me because of its simple art style, really surprised me and that I wished it had gotten more episodes.
