As a chemist, I learned a systematic approach to problem solving, perseverance, and asking for help. These now serve me well as a web developer.

# Replacing Ingress NGINX controller with Traefik
As everybody knows (at least in he Kubernetes realm the Ingress NGINX controller is no longer receiving security patches and has been archived. It is recommended to use the new API Gateway instead of Ingress resources. This transition takes time and in the meantime the Ingress NGINX requires a replacement.

# Mastodon creator tag for your blog posts
The linked blog post was created using Hugo and the new.css theme https://codeberg.org/janikvonrotz/hugo-new-css-theme that I am developing. When sharing posts on Mastodon, you get a nice preview for links. This is possible by adding OpenGraph meta tags https://web.dev/learn/html/metadata#open_graph to the html document. In Mastodon you also have the creator tag.

Fucking Work
My work schedule oscillates between having no work and spending my office hours researching or ending up having to pull off 12 hours days for the entire week + a bonus round over the weekend.
While I appreciate the free time, I abhor the uncertainty of work and the effect it has on my health.
This week is one of those weeks. It usually happens when there’s a client deliverable.
I wish I could say it’s worth exerting yourself, but it’s not. I come home tired and dread waking up.
This one’s a negative, but I promise the next one will be cheerful. 🙂

What Interested Me Today 8
I talk about a new game from a studio I like, being in the podium of the 100DaysToOffload challenge, and #Bubbles! a new site that may become the "front-page of the indie web!", seems rather promising.
