@Guinnessy To add to that, the technical and regulatory problems have now been solved with the development and FAA-approval of Avgas G100UL as a drop-in replacement for Avgas 100LL for all spark-ignition aviation piston engines. Yes, all of them.

The remaining problems are logistics and political will.

@Bcollinsmn Maybe the sooner #100LL is phased out, the sooner refineries will start making #G100UL in quantity.

Looks like George Braly of GAMI and #G100UL has really upset some people. Linking airport funding to mandated sale of #100LL, meaning we can't realistically switch to an unleaded fuel, since airports cannot afford tanks for both. That’s disappointing. Write your congress critters and get that language pulled. We need to get the lead out of aviation fuel.

@netaviator @sophie 3,63€? 🤯 Ich war gerade in Rendsburg, da gibt's den Liter für schlanke 2,24€⛽ , aber dafür gar kein mogas. Leer-Papenburg ist auch beliebter Tank-Zwischenstopp für Inselflieger mit 100LL für 2,49€/L und mogas für 2,10€ (und dann ohne Landegebühr).
