#DOTD in #ChineseHistory: Liu Xie 劉協, Han Emperor Xian 漢獻帝 (181–234, r. 189–220), last ruler of the Han #漢, which had ruled for over four hundred years. Other than in literature (#三國演義), he was not killed by Wei Emperor Wen 魏文帝 but lived out his days in comfort.

#OTD 207 BCE in #ChineseHistory: Ziying #子嬰, last ruler of #Qin#秦, after being on the throne for only 46 days, submits to an army led by Liu Bang #劉邦, future Emperor Gao #高帝/#高祖 of #Han#漢 (r. 202–195). #ImperialChina's first dynasty thus ends after less than 15 years.
