All this car and tech BS has been stressing me out.
I just ordered some vegan ink I have been wanting for ages and bamboo and grass "brushes".
Time to go back to the fundamentals! I anticipate such things will be much more gratifying than so much contemporary overpriced technological evils I have been encountering.
Though shipping and handling from Japan and the time it will take such supplies to reach me was kind of expensive (certainly far cheaper than any car maintenance in recent memory) and will take a while (though probably also a lot less time than I waited for my car to get out of the shop on its last visit).
It's not as if I am in a race to return to forms of writing that are millennia old.
I'm mostly grateful someone re"discovered"/created vegan ink sticks again and I found a vendor selling them. Apparently such things have existed in the past, but one of the most "recent" formulae for such things is over a century old from what little information I can find about such things. I spent many years looking in the past to no avail.
(For those less versed in inks and brushes, many inks are made with soot mixed with glue sourced from animals and many brushes also have hair and/or feathers from animals; definitely not vegan or even vegetarian.)
