In NZ's deep south it's sea lion breeding season. Female sea lions try to avoid males by moving inland and they end up in all sorts of silly places, like the one in this ODT story.
Here in Long Beach our sea lions are generally well behaved. They raise their pups in the sand dunes and never venture across the domain toward the houses. At least, they haven't so far.
May they enjoy a fruitful season.
