Åland Flag Day 🇦🇽

The first unofficial Åland flag was used from 1922. It was blue-yellow and got banned by Finnish authorities in 1935. After the new self-government law in 1952, Åland was given the right to its own flag. The current flag with red cross surrounded by yellow lines on blue background has been used since 1953. On 24 April 1954, Åland Flag Day was celebrated for the first time, and every year it is celebrated on the last Sunday of April.
