C'est trés intéressant l'histoire du jeu d'échecs. Le fou, en Anglais, le bishop (l'évêque), c'était un éléphant au départ (« al-fīl » (الفيل), ce qui signifie « l’éléphant »). La relation n'est pas évidente.

Chess study for the week of Feb 23, 2026: By Henri Rinck (1870 - 1952), published in "Schweizerische Schachzeitung" in 1922. Rinck was one of the most important and prolific early chess composers, publishing 1670 studies. He was buried with a copy of his ultimate study collection, "1414 fins de partie", under his arm.
